Comfort Zone
Mr. Samuel Paul Dhinakaran
In today’s fast-paced world, people have become individualistic not knowing how to live in a community. Everyone drowning in their own aches does not have a heart or time to look at others’ troubles. Every day the dailies are filled with news about infants ditched in the trash cans. Ruthless world is all that we can say. Only Jesus, the ‘broken bread’ can comfort people in their brokenness. He being full of pure love went up to the Cross to lay His life down to keep you in a comfort zone all the time.
Once there was a little girl. As she was not feeling well, her mother took her to the hospital. After a couple of preliminary check-ups, the doctors informed the mother that the little girl suffers from Diptheria. Since it is an airborne disease, the disease would spread to others simply by breathing or sneezing. So they recommended the mother to keep her distant from the child. One day the disease turned so severe that the child was crying profusely because she was unable to breathe properly. The child asked her mother to kiss her. Her mother did not take in consideration her own life and simply kissed her suffering daughter. At last, both of them died. The mother did not care about her own life. To simply comfort her child, she kissed her. This is the comfort of a mother who even dared to lose her own life.

Beloved, are you lamenting that there is not a single person to even render a comforting word? The Bible says, "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee" (Isa.49:15). Will a mother refuse to help her child, when the child is in trouble? The love of a mother is unconditional towards her children. Today, I tell you that God’s love supersedes even that mother’s love. It is matchless. Go to His presence with your tears. You will end up comforted and stay in peace! Bible says, “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem” (Isaiah 66:13).
