When we look at the life of Daniel; he was a faithful man who sought the Lord at all times. The Lord raised him to greater heights that he was appointed as an officer of the king. The king sought Daniel’s advice in everything he did and Daniel was special in the sight of the king, having the grace of God. All the other officers around him were very jealous. They wanted to finish Daniel off and they put a rule saying, “Every person in the land should worship the king” and they said, “Those who don’t worship the king will be thrown into the lion’s den.” Daniel still worshiped God! Even though the king loved Daniel, he had no other choice but to throw him into the den. That night passed and the king went and checked early morning. He asks him, “What happened Daniel? Did your God rescue you? Did He save you?” There was a voice saying, “Yes, my king, I am alive. The Lord sent an Angel to tie up the mouth of the lion. The Lord found me blameless and so He saved me.” That is the special blessing you will receive, my dear friends. It says, “I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you.” (Exodus 23:20). The Lord has appointed angels to guard you and protect you. When you honour the Lord by standing strong in His values, He will not forget you. He will save you from the lion’s mouth. No trouble or problem from the people can harm you. You will have power over all things.
When enemies roar against you or when someone rages against you, remember what God will defend you with a powerful promise, “In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old” (Isa.63:9). God will carry you through that darkest hour and bring you to light. Bible says, “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.” (Psalm 34:7). God will send His angel to safe guard you and deliver you out of all troubles.
What a great God, we have! He looks out for us even when we are in the deepest trouble. As we pray, seeking God having faith in our hearts, we see the glory of God. We will witness God leading our way and guarding our every step. Let us remain with a thankful heart for the angels that God has appointed for us to guard us and protect us as we run the race for His glory.
