Abiding in Christ
Mrs. Stella Dhinakaran
Lord Jesus Christ clearly says, “Abide in Me, and I in you;... He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (John15:4, 5). This is the fundamental words for living in unison with the Lord. However this is the most important decision that we need to take. If we are not close to the Lord until now, let us abide in the Lord and bear fruits according to the promise verse of today and commit ourselves to Him and love Him with all our mind, all our hearts and all our strength. This is the divine will of the Lord concerning us.
The man called Saul, was living a terrible life of persecuting the children of God. However, Lord Jesus Christ had mercy on him and looked on him. Saul had a spectacular encounter with the living God. Yes, Jesus spoke to him. His words broke his heart and drew him closer towards Him. The next minute he asked the Lord, ‘What do You want me to do?" (Acts 9:6), committed himself to Him, got transformed and became a vessel of mercy. What an amazing experience! This is the divine life of abiding in the Lord.

Beloved, have you received this divine connection with Lord Jesus Christ? Are you filled with the knowledge of knowing the glory of true salvation? Think deeply. Are you lamenting, ‘Why is it that I don’t have peace, joy and blessings in my life?’ The reason is, it could be distance between you and God had become wider day by day. The devil has tormented you and has spoiled your mind. Today, the Lord stretches forth His hands and invites you lovingly saying, “My son/ my daughter, won’t you give your heart to Me fully? I would like to come and stay with you. I am eagerly waiting to grant you the divine life.” Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1). Amidst your shortcomings, remember that Jesus will never disown you but He is ready to change your situation and embrace you and bless you to bear much fruits.
